Pilot flying over Central Florida
The Experience

The hour you
don't forget.

A real flight, not a ride

Why an introductory flight lesson is different.

Helicopter tours and sightseeing rides treat you like a passenger. We treat you like a student pilot — for an hour. The view is the same. What you walk away with is completely different.

Every flight starts on the ramp at Orlando Sanford International (KSFB), 30 minutes north of Disney. You meet your instructor, we brief the airplane and the weather, and we walk out together to a real Cessna — not a simulator, not a sightseeing helicopter.

You sit in the left seat, the pilot's seat. You wear a real headset. You taxi the airplane to the runway. And once we're airborne and the controls are trimmed, your instructor says the words every pilot remembers from their first lesson: "Okay — your airplane."

For the next 25 to 40 minutes, you fly. Climbs, turns, level flight. Your instructor stays right next to you, hands close to the controls, calling out tips. When it's time to come home, they bring it back in — but the experience of having flown a real airplane stays with you forever.

FAQ

The questions everyone asks.

Do I need any experience?

Not at all. Most of our customers have never been in a small airplane before. Your instructor walks you through every step.

Will I actually be flying?

Yes. Once we're airborne and the airplane is trimmed, your instructor hands you the controls. They stay on the controls with you for safety.

Does this count toward a pilot's license?

Yes. We log the flight time and you can apply it toward the 40-hour minimum for the FAA Private Pilot certificate.

What if the weather is bad?

Safety first. If we can't fly, we'll reschedule you to the next open slot at no charge.

Can I bring people with me?

On the Cessna 172 and Sunset flights, yes — up to three additional passengers. The C150 is single-passenger only.

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothes, closed-toe shoes, and sunglasses. Florida cockpits get bright.

Will I get photos?

Yes — we shoot in-cockpit photos on every flight and send them over after.

What's the minimum age?

8 years old, with an adult guardian present at check-in.

One hour. One memory.
